Happy Valentine Day

If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

I have no idea why there is so many people asking why isn't there a link in the sentence above? Personally, i do not feel that there is a grammatical error or some form of structure problem. I don't really know what and where you people don't understand. Therfore, i might as well elaborate on this quote.

The defination of love(from dictionary.com) states that love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. Even though many people have tried to define or explain love in the clearest form, it just became more complicated. Or rather, the more we know about love, the less we know about it. Love can not be restricted by the usuage of words. It emprises the human emotions. Emotions by itself cannot be measure or justified by any modern theories of science. Even the study of understanding human, psychology can barely scratch the surface of the human thoughts. To sum everything up, love is uncomprehenable.

The feeling of love can be sparked off in any situation, time or space. For example, the caring of a child from a parent, the showing of concern from one person to another or the feeling of just wanting to protect another heart or soul. The most outstanding example is guy meets girl, girl meets guy and they fall in love. Centuries have passed along with the flow of love into this modern civilisation. In these years, men have tried to put together the pieces of the jagsaw concerning love. It concludes with 2 significant points namely appearance and charactor.

A popular quote 'women are from venus and men are from mars' adds on to the understanding of humans. From this quote, one can infer that men and women desire different things. Men's desire is commonly(almost misconceptionally) appearance while women's desire are that of charactor. They based their partners of what they want to see in them. Without much elaboration, appearance can please the physical senses while charactor can please emotional senses.

Judging from the above, can we safely say that love is quite scientific? There is a standard structure or a formula of falling in love? The answer is no. There a many exceptional cases whereby appearance is not important. For example, partners that have survived fires or accidents that damages their immediated areas of eye contact or child with serious illness right at their initiate state of life or a grandparent about to die. Even with such situation, love is still present. Long life partners will still stay together, the parent will still love the child as much, the children will still love the grandparent as much. This means that love is just about showing concern to those that you care about. In other words, there is no form that love takes. It's just represented by concern.

So if love is really blind, why do men still seek the pleasure from the physical senses? Women are as guilty as men. A recent survey shows that almost 90% of the women surveyed want their husband to be presentable. Thus isn't it about time to think about love in a another approach and ask ourselves..

If lingerie is so popular, can love be blind?
