Who can ever comprehend the meaning of vast??

Deja VU!

Today, i remembered something that i've been pondering over many years. All it took was just a sentence(from my friend:) ) to send me to my own world again.

As quoted..
'Wah, that building look very near. Let's walk towards it.'

At that time, we walked and walked. Walked and walked. Walked and walked. However, the building still remained the same size no matter how far we walked! In all of our minds, i bet we were thinking about the same thing. We are going to reach that building soon. Nevertheless, i remembered it took another 2 hours to reach the destination. Tired as we were, but it was still worth the effort.

From this, i'm trying to say that sometimes the closer we think we are to the destination, the fact is we still have a long way to go. Many times in life when we think we are the best, someone stronger appears out of nowhere and take over you. At that point you just have to become stronger right? :)
But have anyone ever did use this realisation upon oneself? Sometimes, we think we had already put in all the effort in the world into doing something. However, is all the effort really is ALL the effort? Shouldn't there be something else that can be done? Does everything have a limit to itself? Does 100% really exist or it is just something humans made up to console themselves? In that case, why don't people break that limit and show the world a whole new dimension of doing something?
Being human myself, i am also guilty of not putting in all the effort into doing a random task. In the heat of things, we may feel that we have already done all that is needed. But once the heat is off, we suddenly realise that there is more to be done. By then it would have been too late. Is that why humans regret their actions all the time?

Maybe we could toss aside the limits that we have impose on our wings. Probably then we can truely fly and acheive new heights. Will that be the freedom that people are seeking?

There are many things that still can be done in this lifetime of ours. There seems to be no boundaries nor limits. If so, can vast ever be truely comprehended?
